Whatever happened to RealRon - was he banned or just decide to go elsewhere? And has IndyDirtfarmer's obit ever been published? This could develop into a real mystery.....

If I remember correctly, his last post was before he was going to cut down some big trees...

The one I remember, was when he said he locked his wife and kids in the house, or maybe the barn when he was going to use his tractor. Aw HILL! she may have shot him.

You guys really did like The Real Ron and you just won't admit it. I think Ron has been discussed more since his last post, than the actual time he spent here. I thought he did help out now and then, as well as rip a few new ones. I kinda got a kick outta the guy. I also think he lives right up the road from me, if he's not Ron, then they sure went to different schools together.

Haven't seen him posting have you? At the end (what I assume to be the end) the only place he was posting was in tractor tales and he was just gossipin with his buddies. Now he is not on here so I guess it's true.

I think Ron is still here, just posting under a different name and slightly different attitude. Ron had some useful knowledge and if he didn't like yours he wouldn't be afraid to tell you. Maybe not the nicest thing in the world, but you have to at least respect a man that you know from the get go where he stands.

And Indy, RIP, I haven't seen an obit - perhaps the folks from Country Talk have?

I get the Louisville paper every day, and I haven't seen an obit yet. So I don't know if it's a hoax or not. Allegedly, he died on August 25th...hadn't seen him post since the Monday 2 weeks before that. So I could believe he's gone...but just as easily, I could believe he's only moved on and wants us to THINK he's dead. If he's dead, the family has my sympathy. If not, I guess the joke's on me.

Well in all this retrospect, don't forget" The Real Ron". Several of us on here think it's Allan NE and we have comfronted him with our accusations just getting a chuckle in reply.

I also found Ron annoying but I am too, so I need not be critical. Grin.

I think it was the late great juiced Dean Martin that "Everybody loves somebody sometimes". And I didn't want to say it out loud that it was Allan, but now that you let it out..... ....

Jay, I have thought about what you said about respecting Ron. I have to admit that I can"t bring myself to respect anyone who is as arrogant, rude, and condescending as Ron was. Yes, he had some useful knowledge, but this forum has a lot of knowlegeable folks who are willing to share their knowledge and skip the attitude. It"s those folks I really respect. They"re the ones who make this place great.

Now I do get a chuckle out of some of the more colorful characters here because it"s generally done in good sport. When things get rude, I tune out.

To each their own. I know a lot of really nice church going people that tell you one thing and do another. I'll take straight up and rude anyday.
