diesel motor oil flod

My diesel tractor was parked on a hillside before one tire went flat and the machine flipped on its side.
Putting the tractor back on its tires I decided to start the engine.
It won't start! It always does. it barely turns. I can see the starter shaking and I can hear a bubbly like sound coming from the exhaust muffler.

I guess oil is in my combustion room (top of cylinder)?

Will the oil come down through ring to the oil pan if I let it sit a while ?

If so, how long?

What can I do ? please help.

Thank you

Yann

Yann,
Recommend that you remove glow plugs (if equipped) and turn the engine over until no oil discharges or you may cause serious damage. If the engine does not have glow plugs, remove the injectors and turn the engine over until no oil discharges.
If you try cranking before you get the oil out you may break rings, bend or break rods.
Good luck.

I second that approach. Hydraulic lock can easily bend a rod if one or more cylinders fire up.
Has the battery leaked electrolyte over tinwork?

Thank you all for your suggestions, I shall apply them.

No battery electrolyte has leaked.
I cranked a bit but engine did not seem to fire.
Hopefully crank and rods are ok
Thanks again

Have a good day.
