I have a 1981 Gilson that has a bad Eaton Hydrostatic transmission. I'm looking for a used transmission or to sell the rest. Has 16 HP briggs, cutting deck, snowblower and blade. Was running OK until the trasmission went out last year.

: I own a Wards (Gilson) 16 HP twin cylinder vertical shaft Briggs & Statton powered Garden tractor. It has an Eaton Hydrostatic transmission, a cutting deck, snowblower, blade, wheel weights and chains. The Eaton Hydrostatic transmission seized up. I'm searching for a used transmission. If I can't find a transmission I'd like to sell the tractor and accessories for parts. I live in the Chicago area. E-mail address is mswanson@starnetinc.com.

Need steering gear for Montgomery Ward lawn tractor made by Gilson Mfg.

I was told that Gilson Mfg. went out of business about fifteen years ago. As a result new replacement parts are no longer available.

Need two parts: Spur gear which attaches to steering column, and bellcrank casting.

Toro now owns Gilson and parts are still available. I personally purchased New parts from them to fit my gilson tractor. I was even able to obtain parts breakdowns for the tractor and attachments from Toro.

My 1972 14hp variable speed came with the blower, blade, tiller, sickle mower, brush compactor, and 48" mower deck.I do have the original manuals. And, many of the parts are still available through Wards.

I just purchased a 16HP Gilson lawn tractor from a local auction. The tractor has been sitting for 3 years due to the previous owners death. It has a numeric keypad that is used to start it and no one knows the number combination. Is there any way to program in a new number combination?
Thanks

I have been restoring an early 70's vintage Gilson Model #GIL-33040C. Is this number close to the model of yours?
