I recently purchased a Fordson Super Major The ps unit leaks, and the previous owner said to just ues SEA 10w30 to refill it. Made me wonder if he's been using motor oil instead of ps fluid, if it might have damaged the seals or something. Any advice? Thanks, Bob

I had a bad power steering leak in a Farmall 400 power steering unit and changed the hydraulic fluid with the I H fluid and added a can of SEA FOAM to it and later added a small amount LUCAS POWER STEERING FLUID and within a month the leak had stopped. If you can use hydraulic fluid that is made for your tractor. The hydraulic-gear oil would not work good in my tractor so I bought HY-TRAN and it worked fine. My 2 cents--al bane

You should use the same oil in your motor, trans, hydraulics and ps....10W30 or 15w40
