Just stepped in for lunch and on the TV A man in a suit was telling that in the long run Americans can expect a strong ression and economics troubles for the public with high gas prices, comes high trucking cost, high trucking higher prices on goods delivered, But the American pay check can not keep up with the out of control oil market. His comment to this was Americans need to restrict there spending and accept the fact that high gas prices are here to stay. Also when asked about agriculture cost affect his anwser was there is no noteable affect fore seen. Then tell me how we can afford to harvest $1.98 bu. corn at $3.00 agallon gas when here in Western Ky we had a bad drought this summer leaving us looking at 75 bu/per ac. corn. Gas has increased at 140% over last year wages, Have made a 2% increase and crops prices have not made any increase. Goverment is so worried about keeping face for reelection that they have not really looked at the big picture BREAK THE FARMER YOU WILL BREAK the country. This Storm just proved how weak, America, really is. Now we need corn gas and bio diesel to save America Just my point of thinking !!!

One other thing is the fact that since our government has opened the doors for companies to send work out of the country and they do it is also hard to get a "cost of living " pay increase. So since most folks around here haven' really had a pay raise in several years this stuff going up really hurts. Seems everything is going up except salaries.

I have a minor in economics and have tried to tell the proffessors and politicians that for years..

if you look at trends an economic boom in the ag sector brings about YEARS of economic boom for the rest of the country.

and what is the first place this so called business friendly president do.. cut the ag budget of which very little is actually "farmer money" so YES Kill the farmer Kill the country... take a note from history--- WHO EXPANDED THE COUNTRY? WHO baught the goods that businessess produced and sold? Who gave up the most under the GRAM-RUDMAN-Hollings to help balance a budget in the 80's? (then it wasnt ballanced anyway)

the farmers... out numbered out voted and out in the field --NOT SITTIN IN AN OFFICE making deals... and WALL Street cant understand us... therefor we are to Wall street as the NAtive americans were to us 200yrs ago... (sorry my native american friends-- we goofed now we're paying for it)

SORRY FOR THE RAMBLE.
