Still working on my haying. Some of my fields are so thick with undergrowth that I can't cut it with a sickle bar mower. What's worse is the many, MANY ground mole mounds. Guaranteed to jam a sickle bar, and if you're not lucky, damage it with rocks they've pushed up. Noticed a large number of grubs this spring when plowing. Assume moles go along with the grubs - think they're june bug grubs. Never seen so many ground mole mounds - anyone else have the same problem? Any solutions? This is whole fields, not just a front yard. Don't seem to be many preditors around willing to dig up the moles, coyotes probably cleaned up them. I'm told that those mole hills are "mole love nests." If they are, I'm doomed!

I think you need to kill the grubs with insecticide and then the moles wont have anything to eat and move on.
