8N Oil psi

I had my 8n overhauled but the oil pump was not replaced. now sometimes my oil pressure is like 20 psi & at other times it may get up to 50 psi. Any idea's?

It is probably the pressure relief valve on the pump-- they get sticky and lost of times when the shop rebuilds the motor they do not clean it and check the spring- it is not a hard job but this will maybe solve your prob.

Whoever overhauled it probably didn't put in a new relief plunger and/or spring. Worn ones will have more than one flat spot and cause intermitant problems like you're having.

Oil pump... faulty gauge... clogged sensor line... bad sensor. Just thinking out loud!
