Was at an auction on Saturday near Manhattan Ks. Well attended with a "decent" auctioneer.

656 Gas, Wide front, stamped wheels, fast hitch and single hydraulics, good TA. Good tires, good running condition overall $4850.

560 Gas, NF, FH, dual hydraulics, excellent tires, good TA, fair to good condition $2900

H, fair condition, fair tires (weathered) ran well $850.

H dual Fuel, advertised as a parts tractor, tires extremely bad (Neither back tire held air), good rims, not froze, complete with shutters and very "restorable", $425.

All four tractors had been stored inside and the 3 had been worked occassionally. The widow did tell me that the 656 had a "lift" problem that her husband was going to repair but never got to it before his death. To my knowledge that was not related to the rest of the bidders.

I was at the KS sale as well. I thought most of the eqt went pretty high, but I guess not so much for the area. I live West of Salina, and from here West things sell a little cheaper. I did think for the age of the machinery it was in pretty good shape. Do you remember what the 45 combine brought? Bob

I left before the combine sold. I was waiting to see what the H "parts" tractor went for. I agree, most of the equipment sold "well", but then it appeared to be well cared for, especially considering the age.

I also thought about bidding on the H parts tractor. It was actually in very good condition. Brought just a little more than I wanted to give, but I still think it was a good buy.
