Been doing some work for a Central IL farm that is going to start picking this week. They farm several thousand acres, all corn, so they have to start early. Some won't be worth picking so i've heard.

Drove I-24 from Nashville up into IL this past week, saw some corn that looked ready to go.

I lived near a large feedlot once upon a time. They would buy corn out of the field in August. Selling wet corn was good deal for the farmer.

We won't see corn being combined until October.

They started picking seed corn this week in north MO. I did take note today that my beans are starting to turn already.
