I went to the farm store today and bought some Connect Under Pressure Pioneer Couplings. Is it suppose to take 4 Tons of force to push the sleeve back, I mean they are hard. I had to set the coupling on the bench and push down, then I wasn"t able to put the male coupler in it because all my strength was in holding down the sleeve. Both couplers do this. Does the sleeve pull back easier when it"s hooked up to the hose, under pressure? The package says it is a double acting sleeve, what does that mean? Thanks for any help, Rich

Double acting sleeve means you can just push the male end in without holding the sleeve,BUT THIS ONLY WORKS WHEN ITS MOUNTED IN ITS HOLDER on the tractor. The hoses don't help, but the mounting does.To uncouple just pull them out.You were trying to do it the hard way.
