Hi Guys did a search on your forum but didnt find a problem that exactly matches mine so here it is...my 8n starts and runs fine but every 15 - 20 min. it starts to cut out and run really rough for 1-2 min. then straightens out and runs fine again then does the same thing again after about the same time frame.I checked the points and sediment bowl for flow, changed the plugs, I have noticed quite a bit of pressure in the gas tank when I remove the cap, but I am at a loss for an answer. What do you think? thanks Loy

Old is right - the 8N gas tanks have a hump at the top that supposed to have a small hole in it to vent the tanks and keep this from happening - as in this picture. Usually, if the tank is re-painted, they don't open these holes back up (or seal it thinking it is rust through). Either open that little hole back up - or purchase a vented gas cap - that should fix your problem.

Good luck,
Dan

Well you should check the 8N forum. But you have also answered your own question. The gas cap/tank vent is clogged.
