Looks from here like you might be getting lots of rain at present. Its looking like we might this round all together. A little after 9:00 CDT here. When you get enough, send it south.

Hi Farmermatt. I'm northwest of you in the Axtell/Baileyville area. Galen is around 40 miles due north of here. Hopeing for some rain here through the night time. I suppose your needing rain down there too.

Rain makes grain is how the saying goes. Ive spent sometime up in your area, last time was for the knights sale to pick up some good Landoll "scrap" iron. Got a kid from south of Bailyville workin for us. And my old college roomate had family on a dairy just south of Axtell where we spent some weekends. I must say Axtell is the only town where a guy on a balewagon will stop into the bar on the way back to the barn with the last load of the night. Oh wait, that mighta been you??? LOL
Matt

Wasn't me, but it might have been relation. I'm a member of the Knights, and have been for almost 40 years. Past Grand Knight in fact. I used to live north of Axtell, but am now southeast a few miles. Trying to think who might be down there working for you?

Hes a Mueting, goes to Vo-tech here, lives south of Baileyville 4 miles I think. Joe Schmitz was the dairy guy we helped out.

OK, I guessed wrong. Was thinking about Buessing Dairy just south of Axtell. Mueting would be distant relation through the Skoch side though. Joe just dairies a few miles from here. Do you farm much down there? Don't farm here. Just enough to play a little.

Im trying to farm alot. LOL Just 350 acres rowcrop on my own, work for a neighbor w/ 1000. 200 beef cows between us (3/4 his) plus Ive beeen buying bred cows in fall to calve and sells pairs in the spring, seems to keep us busy. Sure is tough to get enough acres theses days. I just turned 26 been at this for 5 yrs now. Trying to buy land right now, willing to mortgage my life away it seems and still short of market values.

Looks good on radar, but we're at about 1/2" so far at 9:17. Need about 1 1/2" more! My brother is Superintendent on a highway project (US 75) in Sabetha - he just called and told me NOT to send any!

Does that mean they have lots already, or they don't want any. I can't believe they wouldn't want any if it hasn't rained. I've got some costomers there, and I know they want rain. In fact their only a couple miles west of the project your speaking of.

He said it can rain all it wants to - off of the project! They need dry weather to work. I was down through there on Sunday - dry, but better than here.

I was just out looking things over, and its 78 degrees here now, but ao still and humid you can hardly breath out there. Lighting to the north, but none close. Actually, I just checked weatherbug, and according to it, we've gained a couple degrees back.
