Kinda makes you stop and smell the roses doesn't it? One of our local does had a pair of twins, I've seen them from a distance a few times, but the other evening at about dusk I got up from the couch, just happened to look out the front window, and there was one of those spotted fawns, not 15 feet from the front of the house, I think it was checking out the wife's flowers which are just under the window. We did get a picture, but taking a pic through a window really doesn't work very good.

Probably what worried her the most was seein' YOU looking back! 8^) Great photos. Your wife know that you're really out taking pictures, when you tell her you're out farming? Mine don't let me take her digital camera outside without an armed escort (for the camera). Try to stay out of the heat today - suppose to be 102 here today 101 tomorrow.

Mornin',

The wife stumbled across the young one hidden in one of the corrals. He was 'bout the size of a small dog.

Don't know who was upset more, the fawn or my wife 'cause she had disturbed him/them. :>)

I have heard that if you like deer, shoot this one and next year there will be 2 deer and fawns instead of 1, so dont shoot this one if you dont like deer, therefore you will have less deer next year.
