I went to the Penfield tractor show on Saturday and saw a Case steamer plowing with a 6 bottom plow. It was absolutely fantastic and went at a much higher speed than I thought it would. My wife's cousins have a couple of steamers but I had only seen them run a sawmill. Seeing one plow was a treat!

We have steam plowing every year here in Edgerton Wisconsin, at the Rock River Thresheree, on Labor Day weekend. Use one of many steamers with a 12 bottom, have a 6 bottom for the little ones too. A good guy on the plow can handle 2 bottoms each. Its quite a sight.

They had a Case steamer at the Marshaltown Iowa show a couple years ago and it was pulling a 12 bottom plow. They stopped it dead in its tracks with the plow in the ground, and then took off again like the wasn't hardly anything behind it. Sounds like that would have been mighty efficient for its day, only problem was it took one guy on a lever to raise each moldboard, thirteen guys in all----- twelve on the plow and one driving!!!!
I,m with Rustyfarmall what a sound
