I have about 10 gallons of Kerosene I didn't burn in stove last winter, thread below got me thinking. Is is ok to just put that in Diesel tractor? Will it burn ok or could it cause filter problems?

Well since kerosene is a form of diesel fuel it will burn in your diesel engine. We put kerosene in our diesel tanks every winter to stop gelling. Just do not use it 100% because it is a dry diesel. No lubrication.

The only diferance in kerosene and diesel is the grade and how clean they make it. Goes like this #2 diesel
#1 diesel
kerosene
jet fuel

Kerosene burns well in a Diesel. It produces a bit less power. To insure proper injector pump lubrication, keep the kerosene at not more than 50% of the fuel mix in the vehicle tank.

Good question, don't know. Some of them old Poppers used at least a kerosene mixture. If mix, might even clean them injectors. Not sure though. I used to mix an occasional quart of auto-trans fluid into 100 gallons for the purpose of cleaning injectors. Now I use additives.

I don't see the harm, and I would be willing to at least mix and let it fly if I were in your position. Someone else might tell me that I'm a dumb... for trying it, but it wouldn't be the first time I've been called that, and won't be the last.
