I am considering a tow behind lawn sweeper. Any feedback on how well they work, is it worth it?

I have one, and i really like it. Works better a hour or so after you cut. I also find, my lawn does not grow back as fast when i sweep it. To me thats a good thing!

I have one that I think works really well. When I was a kid I hit a coat hanger piece and it launched across the yard and into my sister's leg. Since then I prefer not to hold the grass chute up on the mower. This of course causes windrows in my lawn. What I did was build and offset hitch for my mower. The lawn sweeper hooks on about 18 inches from center. Then I just pull the sweeper along as I mow. I dump the clippings in the cow lot. The cows eat it like candy (they run to the fence when they hear the mower).

I have one made by Agri-Fab. It works great for picking up DRY grass and dry leaves. It needs to be adjusted to the correct height. Not to high or too low. It works best after mowing the lawn. Doesn't work well in tall grass. Saves alot of time raking. I DON"T RAKE!!!!! I dump the load into a pile next to the drive and pick up the sweepings with the loader bucket and out to the burn pile. DONE!

I have had one for years. Got it at Lowes. Don't have to use it much anymore, but it works great when it is used.
