I had to take the valve apart on my WD one time as it had become stuck. This happened while it was being used. A guy was running it with the lever up so pressure was on the system and I think impurities in the oil were forced around the valve until it would not move.

Be aware that the lift arms won"t power down. They operate on a one way cylinder. Have you tried applying down pressure to them? If that is not your problem then you may have something setup wrong on your draft control. Like Casey said, a manual is a very valuable tool here. Even better is someone who has been around these things all their life. When I first tried to plow with one of these it gave me fits. Then I got my living, breathing "owners manual" to show me how it worked. What a great feeling it is having him around to bale me out now and then.

do you have a manual? they are very helpfull in making sure you have the linkages adjusted correctly. if you follow the control lever down to the control there are a series of levers and rods. a manual can be purchased at any decent farm supply store or on-line.
