Once more for the books please?
What is the diffrence between super 68 Baler and reg. 68 baler? I've read the only diffrence is a rope on the pickup. I've read more teeth. Does the Super say super anywhere on the baler, or does it just say Hayliner 68?
Thanks

My mentor told me the only big difference was that the 68 had wood runners on the plunger and the super had rollers. He recommended the regular 68 and I'm happy with mine. The super I have for parts has the rollers and you can see where they locked up and ran that way for a long time.

Super 68 has bigger U joints on the input shaft; on a regular 68 to jackknife the baler before baling you have to get off the tractor and manually pull a pin in the tongue-on a super 68 you have a rope running to the tractor to pull the pin and you can jackknife the baler without dismounting. I'm not sure of other differences. I've got an old super 68 for parts, but it's dark now and I can't check to see if it says super on the dataplate.

I'd appreciate any information you can give me.
Does your super 68....say "super" anywhere on it? Mine was advertised as a "Works Great NH Super 68" But I have my doubts about the super part. I have to wait 2 to 3 weeks for the manual I ordered. I'm hoping it's the right one.

Probably wouldn't be any difference in manuals. I would think that you could even use a manual from several different models.
