Need help with powershift on 3020 diesel. First problem is tractor takes a long time to start moving after putting it into gear. When you engage the pto, the tractor stops. Disengage power take off, tractor will move after a length of time. I have checked the filters and the filter screen. Filter screen was very clogged, but after cleaning, still have the same problems. I am getting ready to split the tractor and look at the transmission pump. Any other ideas or solutions let me know. deererunner

It doesn't take much scoring in the front pump to lose a lot of pressure. Replace the torsional dampner while you have it split.

Clogged with what, Dennis? Does it look like it could be brake pad material?I would put master gauge on the transmission first and then pull the valves off both sides of the transmission and check them for trash before splitting the tractor. If your brake pads have disentegrated that is where you will find it.The transmission pump is probably o.k..

Dennis,I would check trans.pump psi and tranny psi's before splitting.Visual observation of a component is not easy. It's possible it could just be a faulty valve.Tx Jim
