Fellow Farmers, Tractor Enthusiasts, and Farmall Lovers,

All of my newer tractors have fuse protection for their electrical systems. I"ve never had any trouble with my 350 since I bought it, but the other day the lights quit working, so I pulled the instrument panel to have a look-see. You can imagine what I found (anybody need any wire nuts?)
What a mess!! I"m making a new harness to remedy the problem and thought while I was at it, I"d add some protection to the light circuit with a fusable link. What size fuse would you all suggest for that circuit, and is there anything else you think I should protect?

Thanks in Advance
Illinois Boy

Thanks TDK - mine is there but no voltage present on the output - must be ablown fuse. I had no idea what that was protruding so rudely from my instrument panel!!

Thanks again!!

The 350 came with a fuse holder in the instrument panel for the lights. I believe it would be on the left of light switch. If yours is missing, they can be found at Radio Shack or waytekwire.com . There is a wire attached to the positive battery cable post on the starter that feeds all the electrics. This is a good place for a fuseable link, older cars and trucks were wired this way.
