Seen your previous posts here looking for more power out of a WD.

Best way I know of is to put in a D17 engine. D17 engine would be a direct drop in. A good alternitive would be to use a engine out of a E gleaner. Few things to change out but should be able to pull needed parts off your engine.

As to a partial or complete LP conversion I don't think the parts needed are or were ever available. On the WD45 Allis did a dual fuel conversion. Tractor would burn both Gasoline and LP. Was a compromise at best.

The horse boost you get from LP is due to the fact that you run a little higher compression due to LP's higher octane and you don't need to preheat the intake air. Since Allis did the dual fuel thing a true LP manifold doesn't exist and neither do the heads. Parts off a D17 LP may provide what you are looking for but will be as scarce as hen's teeth if they were different at all. I have worked on a couple of these but didn't look to see if there was any difference.

That D17 motor will stick out like a sore thumb only to the knowledgable. Webs on the outside of the block, no tappet cover, and full flow oil filter.

The heads are flat so you need taller pistons for more comp.Earl
