I enjoy reading the stuck motor threads. I get a kick out all the just soak it in oil a few days & use a pry to turn it over. I must work on a lower class of junk maybe 1 out of 10 I work on that works. This is from a 27 JD D I removed the block & pistons as a unit. I sandblasted the built up rust from above & below the pistons. Lets just say it was most of what my 120 ton press wanted to do to push them out. I wonder how long I would have had to soak these? I wreckedm I"d need a pretty long pry bar too><~

Interesting thread. I agree with your comment "I must work on a lower class of junk maybe 1 out of 10 I work on that works."

If mine don't respond to the soaking I start looking elsewhere for a candidate tractor.

Bravo for your perseverence and injenuity.

Mark

Larry, there are engines that you could pi$$ in the cylinders and get the same results as PB blaster, WD40, ATF, or Diesel fuel. Then there are engines that the above product might help, if you have a large press.

Tranny fluid etc. doesn't always work, but so far I have never found and engine that I haven't been able to unstick. Guess I have always been lucky.

As I said it took a pretty hard push to get them out I had a half inch steel plate on top of the piston I used a 4x4 on top of that . It pushed so hard it bent the steel plate down in the middle & took the top of the piston out
