The Mrs. and I (and a riding buddy of hers) are making a Memorial day weekend trip to Madras, Oregon. Anybody in the Madras/ Redmond/ Bend area have a tractor they want to sell me? A tractor they want me to look at? Local attractions for tractor folks? Or just a visit with an amiable and fairly expert BSer? Oliver, Cockshutt and Moline folks, especially. Help give me an excuse not to go riding. And a guy can only stand so many rounds of bad golf. . .

Thanks for the tips, guys- didn't know about the boneyard, and had forgot about Mel's. Was at an auction there about 15 years ago, and they had a lot more HN 315 balers there than customers- they ended up going for about $500 apiece, in working condition. Shoulda bought several, but just couldn't visualize myself towing them through Portland on I-5 :<)

You might stop at Mel"s Tractors in Redmond. They have a decent amount of stuff to look at. Last time I was there they had a GM Oliver if I remember right..

I forgot about Mel's. I bought my trailor from them. It's just outside of Redmond on the way to Bend, on the right

There is a tractor boneyard down there between Redmond and Bend, Oregon. I was down there a couple of years ago, and they had lots of neat stuff.

You have to know about Farmland if you're looking close to Portland. Not really that close as they're in Tangent but it's the only one I know of in the valley.
