I recently acquired a 1990 Toro Wheel Horse 416-H. I have been having a difficult time finding the drive belt for the 38" mower attachment. I did buy one (think it is too short) but now I can't figure out how it routes from the pto, over front pulleys and around the pulleys on the mower. Does anyone know how to route the belt?? or could could suggest where to find out? I appreciate any help that can be given.
Thanks !

Go to www.toro.com. you can find parts breakdowns there and veify if you have the correct belt. It will also give you an idea how they go on.

Hey Randy;I have an "87" model 414 Wheel Horse. On mine the belt comes off of the p.t.o. clutch and over the front of the double pulley ahead of the front axle then back to the center pulley on the deck.Mine may be different than yours though because it is a 42"cut with 3 blades.Look up a dealer in the yellow pages, maybe they can fax you a diagram.Kenny

Thanks for the suggestion. The local dealer isn't very helpful but I will give him a try.
Do you just have one long belt from the pto around the front and over the pulleys on the mower? This Toro has 2 'idler' pulleys and the 2 pulleys on the blades, so it is very long (I think). Since there are 4 pulleys to go around on the mower deck it gets kind of confusing!
