I just recently purchased a 301A at a very low price, I've been using it for the past couple of weeks and all of sudden it started to lose power. I changed the fuel filter and checked the air filter which is in good shape. I checked the oil level and its way over the fill mark. I drained the oil and it looks very thin. I'm assuming that the diesel is geting into the oil. My question is what would be my next step. Is there a quick fix for it or does the engine need to be overhauled?

Could be either the fuel lift pump (looks like car fuel pump), or the "umbrella" seals on the injector pump drive shaft letting fuel into the crankcase. I"d change lift pump first. If it is the pump driveshaft seals Stanadyne/Roosa Master pumps aren"t too terrible priced to get fixed.
