Heyy! I have a 1975 wheelhorse c-160 which I just started taking apart. I noticed an oil leak, a transmission leak, the flywheel is chipped, the mower rotor is worped and rusted, and the mower is really rusted along with almost everything else too. I don't even know if the motor runs right because it doesn't have a starter for it. Im not really that good of a tractor fixer. I can fix easy to moderate, not hard. I got for free (Family). IS IT WORTH IT FOR ME TO FIX???

Hey Frankie;I own a 1987 Wheel Horse lawn tractor that was handed down to me from my Dad.He bought it new in "87".his tractor has been well maintained over the years and always shedded. It has a 14 h.p.Kohler and cuts a 42" swath.MY wife cuts our yard once a week approx. 2-1/2 acres. The annual cost for upkeep on this machine is about 100.00-200.00 for me because of original parts wearing out.I found out the hard way that you need to buy parts from Wheel Horse to get the most service life and reduce break down incidents.I say all that to say this to you, make a list of the parts you think you will be needing, call the dealer and get a price. That should help you decide.Don't forget to factor in your time spent to restore the machine. Have a good day.Kenny
