Took mine out to brunch at the Country Club after church. Sure do appreciate having her around and Dad also.

Haven't gotten myself a MIL yet and may not at 38 the hopes are getting slim but you never know!

Wish all yours a good one.

jt

Indeed happy Mother's Day to all the Mom's out there. I am one of the lucky ones, well sort of anyway. My Mom is still with us, but this will probably be the last Mother's Day she will be coherent enough to know what's going on around her. You see, she suffers from Alzheimer's and it seems she has been sliding downhill fairly quickly the last few months. We are having a BBQ dinner for her and my Dad this afternoon, hopefully I will get to see her smile today.
So to those of you who still have a mother, please take the time to acknowledge her on this very important day. It may prove to be very important to you later.

David: I'll second that one, only mother left in my life now is the mother of our children. They couldn't be with us today, but I take notice the phone started ringing at 6:30 this morning. They wanted to catch us before we got into gardening. So after a morning talking on phone and digging in the dirt, I just asked if she like to dine out this evening. By gosh I got me a date.

Dave: Actually the weekend didn't work out quite as planned. Our daughter and husband were coming so Marg. went to meat market on Fri., stocked up for some good old home cooking and barbequeing. They called on Sat., saying that due to death of co-worker they would not be coming until next weekend.

I suggested since we were alone, why no go out to eat. We knew most eating establisments would be booked solid. Her choice, we opted for A & W. We used to go there a lot 40 plus years ago. You know of course, they still play that old music out of 50s and 60s, menues have changed very little. We love the photos of those old cars from that era as well. They must have hundreds of 8x10 photos of old cars on their walls. Did see couple of old tractors as well, but in background of car photos.

Now whenever you do that Ontario run, remember 2983 Cuddy drive, 2nd line north of 402 at Strathroy. I can garentee you will find some old Farmalls.

Took me forever to get back on this one. It's so stale now you will probably never read it. Oh well, I have been woking on a Ford 2N of all things and haven't been on line much. Sounds like you had a nice mothers day! Keep your eye out for a red Buick!

Dave

Dave: I always opt for the e mail notification. Anyone who gets into as much controversy as I, wouldn't dare do it any other way.

Those little N series Fords were quite a tractor in their day. They played quite a role in the evolution of farming.

Will watch for the red Buick. Where exactly do you live, as I do intend to explore MI some more. From what you told me once before, I'm thinking you've got to be off I-75 and south of Auburn Hills. Probably on the west side of I-75.

I'd like to add my best wishes to that. Lost my mom back when I was in my 20's. I make sure my kids treat THEIR mom well and will be spending some time with my mom-in-law today. A lovely lady and the closest I have to my own mom. Have a great day ladies!
