Spotted a tractor this week, the name on it said Tiger, model 6640, it looked like a Ford but was yellow with a white cab and wheels. Is this thing made in India or something, cant find any info on such a company.

Tiger specd" extra duty components for the machines they put together using a Ford tractor base unit, especially in the clutch/trans, and axles. If you get it, and need some parts make sure you tell the dealer that it was a Tiger unit. We dealt with the neighboring county who had several, and I got caught the first couple times because their parts runner didn"t tell me it was for their Tiger mower unit.

There was a company in Sioux Falls SD called Tiger. They modified various smaller tractors and outfitted them for use mowing roadways and other highway work. Most tractors were not painted factory colours, but a yellow colour. Maybe this is on that come through their shop?

Your are probably right, because it was fitted with a side flail mower and a rear one as well. This one is used for air field maintenance.
