I pull a tractor at my local antique tractor club?IT is a CA ALLIS CHALMERS. I have been running the chain through the drabar on the back, and then another chain on the front to the middle/belly of the tractor. I am afarid I will break the cast piece of the belly of my tractor.Because I like my chains tight. Any idea on how to scure the front of the tactor? I thought about running a chain over the front tires would that work?
As for the back I will still be going throw the drawbar.

thanks for tips,suggestions, or idea's

I have never worried about a tractor shifting forward or back when hauling,, its side to side,, so we always go aound the front pedastal or both sides of a wide front and then to the trailer and on the back I go aroung the axle on both sides and then to the trailer,, so it is tied on all 4 corners, never a problem,,Jim

How about a pair of those wheel nets like the car haulers use? They seem kinda pricey to me, but you only need to buy them once.

Hi Lover...hmmmm, that don't sound right...I use 2" straps just as extra security rated 10,000 lbs each (14.00ea) and they don't scratch it either. You can use as many as you like and even be creative at gettin er done as ole Harley said.

Running a chain over the front tires to the front, and over the drawbar to the rear should work well. Cinch it down and git-er-done. Harley
