Anyone been contacted by phone about buying herbicides from a National Farm Supply rep.? I get called two or three times a year and it always sounds like the same guy. And, always the same line of crap. He pretends I contacted him a while back, he's just following up, etc. etc. I know it's not true. In the past, I called him on it, and he guickly hung up on me. Well, he called again today - maybe 6 months since his last call. Maybe he does not remember our past "discussions." This time - I played along a little bit, acted interested, and finally told him I had to get off the phone and asked him for his phone number. He hesitated, and then gave me the number 678-226-3317. So, I'm wondering if this is a scam - I haven't tried the number. Anyone else had these calls?

Had a guy selling extra paint which was very good for milk house walls,so he said, wanted to sell me a 55 gallon barrel, said no, came down to a 30 gallon barrel, told him it was too much paint, finally came down to a couple gallons at $40 buck a gallon, told him to ship it UPS. I didn't have any intentions of paying fo it.It came UPS and COD, and i rejected it. Never called back.Oh by the way at a local paint store the same kind of paint was listed at less than $15 a gallon.

I think this is the same firm that a relative bought some chemicals from... They did a big pitch, sent twice what he agreed to buy & C.O.D. amount was a real rip off... Plus, the herbicide was worthless, I was told...

Had one of these yahoos call me a few years ago, with the same kind of pitch. I told him I don't buy any product like that over the phone, because any chemical I need, I can get locally so I know who I'm dealing with and what I'm buying. He said "Thanks, sh*thead" and hung up.
Another time, a woman called saying I had sent in a "reader response card" from some farm magazine, inquiring about their new herbicide. I stopped her in mid-sentence and told her I don't send those cards in---ever. She got huffy and started mumbling about ME wasting HER time. I ain't the one who made the phone call, and it cost me just as much time as it did her.

He called me about mid winter. Told him I would have to wait and see what all I needed. He had given me a # to call him back on earlier in the conversation. As soon as I said I'd have to wait and see he hung up on me. At this point I was jacked so I tried to call him back only to find out the number didn't exist. jstpa

same here. Calls every 6 mos. pretending I filled out a card. Real friendly at first. Rudely slams phone down when he finds I"m not interested. Calls back 6 mos. later just like nothing ever happened. Been doing it for years now.

I got the same call, and same number (i think), same scenario. Can"t remember what he said exactly, but he was going to be nice enough to give me a discount on pramitol. Unfortunately the discount ended that day. Although even with discount, it was a good $30 more a gallon. I did call him back though to see if it was a legit number and name. Think he"s just another chemical salesperson.

They sell vacum cleaners. Stops in every 6-8 months. Been doin it for 3 years now, the store has yet to open.

Switchboard.com for 678.226.3317 = no listing.
Could be ligit and unlisted but I doubt it. He could still be honest and a free enterprise sales man.....

What legitimate business would use an unlisted number? Businesses want customers to contact them.
