Could some one tell me where the timing mark is on a 37 model A,the fly wheel is plainly marked but not the tractor.IM thinking its 3 0 clock?Thanks in advance..... ....good luck

I think you are right somewhere around the 3 o clock on the trans. case side cover you should find a line cast in it or a lip if it's tin.

THANKS MIKE I BELIEVE I FOUND THE PROBLEM,I THINK I HAVE A BROKEN IMPULSE COUPLER.THE TRACTOR IS MIGHTY HARD TO START,AND WHEN I WENT THRU THE TIMING PROCESS I DID NOT HEAR THE AUDIBLE CLICK AT THE MAG.GUESS ILL PULL IT OUT .IS IT APPER4ENT WHEN THEY ARE BROKE?THANKS FOR THE HELP.

It may just be gummed up,or could have a broken spring. When off hold it upright (careful where your hands are it might zap you)then rotate the back of the mag,impulse coupling,counterclockwise it should have a pawl come out and catch on a tab then you should feel spring tension build up then it should let go with a snap.
