Some of the discussions here about terms for discribing tractors makes me think that my Case round nose is "50 foot" in quality. At 50 foot, it looks real nice. Get any closer and you can see the beatup tinwork nose. I get the idea from the way we used to talk about out wheat fields. They looked good at 30 MPH or 50 MPH when you drove by.

Up here in Northern Iowa, we like to kid the Minnesota people a little bit.... We always give everyone the Minnesota guarantee....If it breaks in two pieces, you get both of them... :-) deadeye

Tail light waranty - Under waranty till your tail lights are out of my sight.

Welders waranty - Will hold till it breaks

Reminds me of the other day when a woman caught my eye from afar at the grocery store -- upon closer inspection, she was definitely a "fifty footer"!

This is one case where a fellow must be very carefull. After a 6 pack, many a fifty footer have become 6 inchers.

As a carpenter buddy of mine always says "no one will notice it from the road at 55!". A friend who worked for a local car dealership told me of their "unoffical" (read that: never actually told to customers) warranty, which was the 11/11 warranty. The dealership was on Route 11, and once you got your new purchase 11 feet onto route 11, it was out of warranty....

Same idea as the "20-20 Warranty"- Guaranteed until you're outta sight.

You might try the "rule of thumb" method. If you can't hide the entire tractor behind your thumb, you are too close. All of my tractors pass this method easily and by the way, they look great.

Steve,

When building fence, Dad always said the first two posts are easy to get in a straight line...the third and the rest are the tough part.
