Bid $2200 on an AC B w/mower on Ebay on Sunday. Lost the bid to a $2225 bidder. Ok. No problem. Got an email this AM on very official Ebay looking letterhead saying that the 2225 guy defaulted and I could have it for 2200. I wrote back saying that I was interested. Got another official looking Ebay letterhead from one Mark Brenner 556 W 110th Street NYC 10025 saying to wire him the 2200 and, once cleared, the tractor would be mine... His imitation of the Ebay letterhead was outstanding. Watch out!

there is another side of this scam guys, it uses a shill bidder (friend of seller) to bid up the price and defaults back to your bid. had this happen a few times got second chance offer and refused it.

"...from one Mark Brenner..."

Why is it everybody who reports one of these things talks like one Jack Webb? :-)

Dave: Now that just about narrows down their age. You would think people in that age group would have sence enough to know what is garbage, and act accordingly. Why they think they must holler, shout, yell, etc. to tell all the rest of us beats me.
