Old saying goes: If it rains on Easter Sunday, it will rain for the next 7 sundays. Don't know about snow.Sunny and warm in Iowa.

I was looking at the radar this morning to see if the rain was headed our way and saw that spot of snow/ice. Thought it was quite odd but March is very unpredictable.

The rain that is now in Ga. went just north of us yesterday and it looks like this batch will do the same. I may be able to get some yard work done for a change.

Very little chance of that snow coming here as it is suppose to be in the mid to upper 70's all week for highs. It is suppose to get down to 45 tonight though. Will seem extra cold after the low of 65 we had last night.

No we are to far south for rice. LOL!!!!! !!!!

Actually rice is grown in the western and central part of the state. I am in the east boot over by New Orleans.
We have sugar cane; strawberries; and dairy farms over here.

Used to live in Houston with kin in la and worked there on the river and intercoastal when I was young, and was stationed in Biloxi for 3 years. Saw a lot of your fine state, including the Perot boats in the Bayou off old US Hy 90 B4 the advent of I10. Aunt lived in NOLA for a lotta years. Always liked to go there (la).

My wife's maiden name is French ending in ....onne if that means anything. Grin

Storm started here and went south. Southern Co. has lots of moisture. Northern Co. is realy hurting for anything wet.

Aint just me?!?! Whew, I'm not entierly nuts afterall. I haven't seen none this weekend though. Now I can stop taking my medication because someone else saw it too. LOL.

Keep it to yourself buddy. I'm about 60 mi N. of Dallas and conditions are right for it. Temp is supposed to hold above 34 and it's raining.

Agree about the big lie. Was just remarking day before yesterday that here it is Easter and we just might get by this year without one last freeze killing all this beautiful young vegetation. Used to have an early blooming peach tree and it would get caught every ___ year. Glad when the borer worms killed it. Made life simpler for me.

Good Morning TxJim,

I am living in Clovis New Mexico. It snowed yesterday and there is about three inches on the ground. It's a beautiful day, and don't think that it will last the day before it's all melted off. Where at South of Ft. Worth? I have a sister that is living in Burleson.

later days mate,
Jim

Moved from Indiana about 16 years ago to get away from the winter weather. Still get it, but not as bad. I'm about 60 miles S. of Waco, 46 degrees, windchill 40 w/N. wind. Overcast, and wet from last night's rains. Guess the Grandbabies will hunt eggs inside today. Don't think Snow will get us. First year without Snow or ice in a while.

Hey Paul,

Sounds like your getting some of the late winter weather also. We have a family farm 20 miles Northeast of Waco. I'm living here in Clovis NM, but will be heading for Korea in September for a year. There is an antique tractor club in Hillsborro and there is also one located around Temple. I don't have the contact numbers for them off hand, but can find them. There is some old equipment sitting on the farm that I mentioned to the family that rather than letting it go to the junk dealer that we should find someone that would use it for restoration or to farm with. It'l most likely be a LONG time before the decision is made on this, but anything that we aren't going to use ourselves shouldn't be hauled off for junk iron price and sent to China.

later days mate,
Jim

Hello Jim, hope your trip to Korea is a safe one, and you'll be back soon with us. Spent my time in S.E. Asia in the early 70's, dodging all kinds of hazardous stuff. As for the Old Iron, I agree. It should be put to good use, and stay here and maybe help a few of us. If it goes for sale, let me (and the others) know what you have, and maybe we can help each other out. I have an 8N, and just use it for "maintainence" here on the small parcel. Goes back to my childhood.
