I have a 216 John Deere lawnmower that I just picked up from the dealer. He told me the variable-speed unit is torn up and that it will cost $600 to repair. $300 each for parts and labor. To me $300 is a lot of money for labor. I used to repair mowers a few years ago , and believe that I can do the job , myself. What I am in need of is a diaghram or service manual. Does someone have one I could purchase , or know of any other possibalities ?
Thanks , RICH

Rich, send me your e-mail, I'll send you pictures of both styles, as there is a serial number break on the variator pully assy

Hello, I just picked up a JD 216 and was wondering if you could email the information you were talking about. I need to try and figure out the pulley situation. Thanks
Ken
