Detroit Diesel Expert Needed

I have a 6V92T in a truck and the engine is seized. The previous owner said the oil pressure dropped off while driving. Anyway, I dropped the pan ond this is what I found. I need help to ID the pieces so I can tell if the engine will have to come out or do I need to look for another.
A) 1/4 steel might have had threads, looks like it sheared of.
B)Just an L shaped piece of alloy.
C)1/4 nut
D)Rubber shard
E)1/4 threaded and nut, looks sheared
F)Might have been same as B or cotter pin
G)Cotter Pin Head
H)Steel Shard
I)Phenolic type material
J)Pieces of rubber third party image

Looks like it may have thrown some turbo parts in there. The nut,shaft,cotterpin and rubber could have come from the compressor.

Wow, that"s alot of trash to find in any engine. I"ve been into my share of Detroits, in fact I"m building a 6V71 right now,and their pretty much all the same except for the bore and stroke. That said I can"t think of anywhere in the engine any of those piece could have come from, especially the phenolic and rubber pieces. I"ve never run into any phenolic material in a Detroit and the only rubber parts I know of would be seals in the coolant system or the rubber boot arond the blower drive shaft. There are also "rubber" seals under the head but their all compressed when you bolt the head down and aren"t likely to find their way to he oil pan, plus their not even close to being that large and their usually white in color. As for the metal parts the most common size bolts used internally in a Detroit are 3/8, a few 5/16 and the only 1/4 inch ones are the 8 that hold down the injector racks and they"ve usually got 12 point heads. The only 1/4 inch ones I know of externally on the V series engines are used to hold a couple of small cover plates on the head and the bolts on the governor cover, and it would be hard to get them inside anyway. Ok, looking again, E does look similiar to a piece in the governor but similar is about all I can say. Regardless of where these pieces came from it looks to me like you need to go ahead and pull it and either find a reman and use yours as a core or find someone to rebuild yours. Depending on what parts are messed up or worn out, you can usually figure on somewhere around $1500 to $2000 per cylinder, to rebuild using genuine Detroit parts. Good luck.

The metal parts look like governor or overhead parts. If they fell into the blower oil drain back holes, then they may have broken and jammed the blower drive gears, This would lock up the engine. Does the engine have any direct mounted engine drive generator/alternator/power steering punp ? If so the drivers are a phenolic material. remove the unit from the engine and inspect the driver puck.

A one will cost over $15,000 but unless the block is damaged they are rebuildable. Personally I would look for a rebuilt and use yours as a core.. Its a lot of work to rebuild one and you need a big engine stand you can't do it on the floor its just to big.
