Hey all, My 3020 is pouring out hydralic fluid when i raise the 3 point arms with the back blade hooked up. Fluid is coming out the ports for the aux. hydralics. Is this just a seal in that block on the back or is something else happing here?
Thanks for any and ALL help.
Randy

You can unbolt the entire SCV housing and put it in a vise to work on it. Or take it into a Deere dealer and they can put the new kits in for you without having to haul or road the entire tractor in. The techs like to have a little fill in bench work. Could get a little pricy though BOHICA.
The 2940 has an entirely different plumbing and valving setup.

I totally eliminated JD's remotes from my 2640. They leaked ALOT and I had replaced the o-rings a couple times- still didn't help. I got some aftermarket hoses and remotes from TSC and a couple fittings from Northern and now I have a much simpler system and no leaks. Even still have the break away protection. Let me know if you need a picture or further help.

Here's another view that shows how the left side is attached to the tractor.

Ok, Pipes, here you go.(providing this works). The units are held on the tractor by way of a piece of angle iron bolted to the same hole the originals were bolted to and the other end is bolted to the outlet rings. If the implement comes lose from the tractor the hose will pull the outlet back and the outlet will release just like John deere's would.

That is too bad because this worked really good for me so far. Maybe your tractor won't let you adapt something quite so easy. JD had a good idea with the break away couplers but, I think they just over complicated the whole thing. Way too many o-rings in those original outlet systems. Good luck with whatever you do.

Is the oil coming out of the actual coupler barrels where the implement couplers would plug in?

If so, are the little levers under the coupler barrels turned so the levers face rearward?

If the levers are turned to the left and right, the check balls in the coupler barrels will be depressed, causing return oil to flow out of the coupler.

Yes,, thats where the oil is coming out. Did notice that one of the barrels is "stuck" in further then the other. Even after wiggeling those levers on the bottom. Can that block be changed out to a different type of fitting? I already need to replace the orings on the outer part and would rather switch it over to a different style if possible.

Deere makes a kit to change the barrels over to the "Pioneer style" couplers.

You should be able to carefully tap the stuck barrel rearward. Get some penetrating oil on the front ot the barrel.

With the barrels unstuck and the levers pointing to the rear, the balls should seat, and oil leakage should stop.
