Can anyone help?
I have a (diesel) I-574 made in England. 574s may have ceased production in the US in 1975 but they were imported into NZ from England up to 1978. My tractor"s serial number is 211216BRX, which is beyond what is listed for 1975. Is there any way to find out the year of manufacture?

Are you sure of your # ?
The serial # is on left side of transmission housing. IMHO 574 were manufactured only in UK.
They began manufacturing in 1970(# 504 and up) and ended in 1978(# 117065 and up)

Interesting! I have double-checked the serial # on left side of gearbox and there is no doubt. Engine plate lists model="1-574", s/n 2310011B1 17452-X-. Plate is "International Harvester Corporation, London". This would be a made-for-NZ unit as its gear/speed table is in kph not mph. What other web sites might list info?

My 574 has the exact style serial (only a few hundred from yours)number; However it's serial # plate is on the right front frame like the 684 etc. What style fenders does your 574 have?

The fenders are flat-topped, top level with the bonnet/hood. Grab hole in leading edge. Small round white lights facing forward, vertically mounted; rear ends of fenders slope off about about 45deg; rear lamps mount on this slope.

I've got a 574 that must have come out of Canada -has the higher fenders with the little biddy lights in them with a serial # that puts it in late 1977 . Intertec's guide was my source & it lists 574's as being built into 1978.
