well we to discuss club buisness at the meetings but do other things too:

in Jan we vistit a JD dealer (wright impl in crawfordsville)where we learn tech tips and the next meeting ( date floats around) we have a dinner meeting ---we eat someplace decent June: we have a Rodeo-picnic at the local state rec area ( I want it to be B-fest but cant get any help calling it that)lol

July we plow wheat stubble so a member can plant turnips

aug we are the Tractors at a small towns highschool reunion ( pull and parade)

December chrismas party and auction

We never have programs. We go over buisness of the club. Spent about 3 hrs at the meeting. Went over insurance coverage, projects, etc. We had a meeting 2 weeks prior, spent 2 1/2 hours on little of nothing. Last 2 years, with different President, rarely had a meeting go over 2 hours and got all the buisness done.

Of the three clubs that I DID belong to,all everyone seemed to do was argue!Older folks wanted the younger folks to do all the work while they spent..... .....ahem donated all the money.I will not join another tractor club.Besides,I had more fun on my own.

At our meeting last night we were treated to a presention given by the man who runs Robert's carburetor repair of Spencer, Iowa. Very informative, specialty is JD, but what we learned applys to any make of carb.
