Just want everyone who may consider doing business with this outfit to really watch it. I bought a tractor from them that Curt "claimed" was in good condition mechanically. Well, after two weeks home and spending in excess of $2500 more for additional repairs, I can now EASILY spend another $2500!!! Buyers beware. What they claim is in good condition ISN'T!!

I bought my first machine from Ole"s this May,

and I am more than happy with the
machine as well as the service I recieved. When looking at purchasing a machine that is thirty
or more years old, it is the
buyers
respondsibility to thouroughly look
over the tactor before buying. And in all cases there is a certain amount of risk you take when purchasing.--- No matter

Just went there today. The "good running tractor" I went to look at would not stay running for 5 minutes. Also, the photos at his website showed the tractor with a different seat attached to the tractor. I will not be wasting my time there again.

We stopped in there when I was on my way to get my Super 88.They had a good selection of older iron.I would expect to have to work on any tractor bought there though but that goes with any older tractor.

I have known them to be completely honest and above board. It will happen that they they did not know of something or it was misrepresented to them when they bought it. I have seen that happen and they always made good on it.

Paul is correct that they generally sell unrestored tractors.

They do have a policy as I understand it to buy back a tractor if someone was not satisfied at the purchase price.

Did you talk to them about your disastisfaction before you sunk a bunch of money it it?

I"m not sure what you may have expected in the first place. A tractor in "good condition" would never be inferred by me as being one that did not need any mechanical work, but only one that was running in a manner expected of a 40, 50, or 50 year old tractor. Had it been advertised as "completely restored" or "completely refurbished", then you might expect it to be more than "good" mechanically. I"ve seen Ole"s web site, and by looking at any of their tractors, I would not expect to buy one of them and not have to put some work into it. They simply don"t to my knowledge, sell restored or refurbished tractors. i"m not sure how long you have been around old iron or antique tractors, but for even the better tractors, it isnt hard to sink three or four thousand dollars into a restoration. It is easy to sink $1,000 or more into a set of tires and tubes alone. I don"t think your experience with Ole"s is in any way an incictment upon the integrety of how they do business, unless they are derelect in honoring some sort of expressed warantee. YOu may have a case, but I"d like to see more evidence that they were out to rip you off.
