Good tractor. Glow plugs can be a pain but a good puller and hard worker. Not bad on fuel. Grew up on a wheatland 660. Needed an extra 40 acres just to turn it around.

I have had a half a dozen 660's. They start hard but pull real well. Like all IH tractors they have weak T/A's. The RPM's run at 2650 with no load. They turn alot of heads. Not many made.

TA was not weak, the weakness occured in operator above the ears.

How many hp is it anyhow? Would help to answer your plow question below. I need all of 20 hp per 16 inch bottom, 25 or more hp for an 18 inch bottom. I have real heavy clay soils.

Also, good to mention the manufaturer too - lots of different manufaturers used the same numbers at different times.

And, sometimes all-caps is really hard to read - might consider taking that caps-lock key 'off' and not look quite so harsh. :)

That's a little bigger than I was expecting it to be! :) Here in my soils I would put a 4-16 behind it. Lots of other places they would try a 5-16 on it I hear. :)
