Has anyone run any of the new McCormick tractors. I may be in the market for a new tractor this year(100+hp) and I have been explroring my options. Don't want to pay the hefty overprice of certain colors of paint. I have looked at these tractors , but I would like to hear if there have been any problems with them....Jim

The new McCormicks have an excellent reputation and are doing a terrific job here in eastern Canada. They have the CaseIH MXM line all beat to h***. That size of tractor is very popular here. Many CIH dealers also sell McCormik. A good full frame tractor (like a full framed Crown Vic car, another excellent design and build). Do not be afraid of Doncaster built machinery. And no I don't sell any!! QR.

Very popular over here Yes they are built in what was once the IH plant.( I live near Doncaster by the way ) and they do seem to be taking over from the Case and the jolly green giant. "Do not be afraid of Doncaster built machinery":- well you ar probably right now but I remember in the late 1970"s and 80s they were turning out some right awful c___. Everybody seemed to be buying Internationals before, then just at that particular time nobody would touch one with a barge pole I should know, I bought one of the last IH 674"s ever built :(

I was very impressed by the McCormick MTX 125 - 6 liters Fastram Perkins engine, in 2003; At that time the price was $75000, CDN $.
Very good quality for the price; perhaps today they use Cummins instead of Perkins.
