Yesterday while sitting on the back porch enjoying the 50 degree Ohio day, my 3 year old granddaughter said "Grandpa why don"t you put on your big giant boots and go down to the barn and get the Model T and take me for a ride?" I would have enjoyed that except for all the mud.

Well yeah, spring is comming. The weather has been warm and sometimes sunny for half a week. But now they are saying six ato twelve inches of snow and colder weather comming after the snow. Winter isn't over yet and spring is still a month away here in Rhode Island. Wish I could be happy spring is here but it isn't yet.

Bluebirds came back to the Front Range of Colorado a couple days ago. The males come first and pick out nest sites to be declined by the avian She Who Must Be Obeyed.

Last Friday the geese were heading north in droves, a sure sign of spring. This morning the thermometer was reading about +2. I hope those geese didn't get frozen in somewhere.

Boy I don't know guys. We get spring about a month before you guys back East (AZ here) and I've got to go get another cord of wood this week. That'll make 6 cords this year where I normaly only burn 3 to 4 cords.

T-Bone, that is just about the most disappointing thing I have heard all day, and it's still early.

Here in western Washington, we're low on rain, and with mild temperatures, the grass has pretty much kept growing all winter- we're probably going to have about half our hay left over for next year, which could come in real handy because if we don't get some rain, its gonna be a short crop this summer.
