I got three tractors out in the shed that are pretty much just toys. My father sure would have been some proud to have even one of them since most of his life he either used horses or an old homemade tractor.

I have a friend who constantly reminds me how fortunate we are. Not rich in money, but rich in everything else. Life couldn't be better with the friends we have made.
I have the tractor my grandfather bought new in 1956, and my son has the one my dad bought new in 1950.
FlyWheelers?
Stan-Florida and I are planning on meeting again on Thursday, I think. I'd like to meet.

"Live Free or Die"..... ..... can"t get much more succinct that that; do y"all still believe that or have you gone to "from each according to his ability, etc," like the rest of us?

There's still a good bunch of us that believe it and live it. But there's a growing bunch of flatlanders, mostly from Massivetushes, who are embarrassed by it. They should all either go back where they came from or move to Vermont. Anything goes over there. In fact, one Vermonter told me that they're doing away with their bridges and just going with ferries. (Say it out loud; it'll make more sense.)

It wasn't that long ago (maybe 15 years) that we farmed 4 or 5 farms with two pony front, gas, FH tractors & hitched & unhitched from one implement to the other. I often wished for at least one wide front diesel with a good 3-pt. Now I must have at least nine better than that best one we used hard in the 80's. Life is good.

2 tractors under tin, one crawler out in the weeds. All three needing attention. Still though, nobodys got claim on them, except this years hay, ditching the road, bushogin, getting in firewood, and gradin the road. Other than that...

Hey Les, I saw where you are going to Omaha in april. Too far away yet to know what would work there, but I'm exactly 100 miles south of the west side of Omaha. Will wait to see how things play out. Don

DP DP Just dont understand how in the you can be exactly 100 miles south of the west side of Omaha????? ?? You might be 100 miles straight south of the south side. You might be exactly 100 miles south of the east side, dont understand your thinking, and directions, dont ever stop and ask DP for directions.

Junction of I-80 and Hiway 50 is on the west side of Omaha. I met up with a fellow there to pickup a couple tires about a year and a half ago. Met him at Sapp Bros. Restaurant, and my mile meter showed 100 miles.

Will be staying at the Embassy Suites (Hey, the cumpny's payin and that's where the conference is!). Looks like a fancy place. I'll be with another employee. We think we're going to rent a car for at least a day and have a look around. Probably Wednesday the 20th. I'm sure he'll want to look at motorcycles while I'd rather look at agriculture.

Its good to step back and see that you want what you have every once in a while isn't it. If I'm not rich i know I've certainly been blessed

When I farmed 360 acres I only had one tractor, but was able to borrow a second one from time to time to keep things rolling. Now I have less than 2 acres to maintain, and I own a total of six tractors. Three of these actually run. The best part of the whole deal is that all of them are paid for!

I ain't done yet in the accumulating department. I'd kind of like to have an odd ball or two. Of course Case tractors are pretty uncommon around here as is anything that isn't JD, IH or Ford.
I'm thinking Silver King for my next acquisition. Maybe might have to trade one of the Cases for it. :(

I can fully relate to that Rusty. A little over 10 acres here, and 16 tractors up and running to get it done, (like theres that much to do), and like you said, Paid for! I have to admit though, sometimes I question my thinking. Don

DP, you should never question your thinking when it comes to tractors. There are much, much worse things you could spend your money on.
