way ot, yamaha raptor problem

i know this is a tractor forum but maybe someone hee could help me. i got a 01 yamaha raptor 660 4 wheeler and when u give it any throttle it will accelerate then cutout for a few seconds and then comes back to life and it cuts out again after a few more seconds and just repeats the process. the carbs have been rebilt 4 times, once by me, twice by a friend mechanic, and once by the dealer. any ideas, thanks

You may need to get it rejetted.. My brother had the same problem. If it cuts out before half throttle then it needs a bigger size if it cuts out after half throttle then you need a smaller size jet

Got a rhino 660, had the same problem and it was the fuel filter. You have a fuel problem some where, maybe in the tank.

sounds like its running out of fuel. check the fuel shut off coming out of the tank, my yamaha warrior was acting similiar, there was dirt in the fuel switch. dont know, but maybe yours has a screen inside the tank.
