Gents - This is the story of our lives...

A fella was sitting on the edge of the bed, observing his wife turning back and forth, looking at herself in the mirror. Since her birthday was not far off he asked what she'd like to have for her Birthday.

"I'd like to be six again", she replied, still looking in the mirror.

On the morning of her Birthday, he arose early, made her a nice big bowl of Lucky Charms, and then took her to Six Flags theme park. What a day!

He put her on every ride in the park: the Death Slide, the Wall of Fear, and the Screaming Monster Roller Coaster, everything there was.

Five hours later, they staggered out of the theme park. Her head was reeling, and her stomach felt upside down. He then took her to a McDonald's where he ordered her a Happy Meal with extra fries and a chocolate shake. Then it was off to a movie, popcorn, a soda pop, and her favorite candy, M&M's.

What a fabulous adventure! Finally, she wobbled home with her husband and collapsed onto the bed exhausted. He leaned over his wife with a big smile and lovingly asked, "Well, Dear, what was it like being six again?"

Her eyes slowly opened, and her expression suddenly changed. "I meant my dress size, you dumb a$$!"

The moral of the story: Even when us fellas are listening, we are still gonna get it WRONG!

Grins from soggy, chilly FL

Shep,

Couldn't agree more!! Aren't you up around JAX? We're in a dry spell down here in Melbourne.
If I'm right about your location, you better stay off the streets for the next 5 or 6 days.

Stan

Ya got me pegged Stan. I work in Jax and live in Sanderson - 1/2 mile from the Eastern entrance to Osceola Natl Forest.

Got me some fine soggy bottom piney woods. Been trying to make a GO of truck farming for a while. Not making any $$ but I am building the tractor inventory.

Streets in Jax are swamped with people and more coming. Activities and street closures everywhere!
Such fun :)

Yea right. You ought to come over here for the next week.
Yard looks like a big mud pie from all the rain and them fools in town have started drinking already and will not stop till next Tuesday.

It was fun when I was a 20 but guess I am to old for that stuff.

All goes back to what I, in my older more experienced life, have deduced. Women are supp-osed to have an attitude and get the last word. Men are supposed to be stupid and be good at it. Now if we would all adhere to those guidelines we would all be better off. But I, like a lot of others, have to cross the line every once in awhile and either think, or say something, when I should have just looked at her and said, "Okay dear, whatever you want." Eternally baffled, Harley
