350 farmall gas ran fine.Parked in shed for 3 mos and tried to start it. Turned over fine (6v) would not start. Hit it with ether and hotshot, no change. Then while turning over there was a CLUNK and it locked up. Removed starter, tried to turn flywheel with bar, also tried to turn with fan belt, no luck. Suggestions re problem/solution appreciated.

Check the cam gear and key.Seen several 350 gas tractors over the years break the end of the cam.

Sounds to me that it is time to start wrenchen , it could be something minor but then again it might be major. For what a pan gskt costs i think that is where i would start looken for spare parts that are no longer attached .

Thanks, I did pull the plugs and dump some diesel auto/tran in it, but nothing changed. When it stops snowing I"ll try to figure out how to get to the cam gear--sounds like a bear.

I think you can pull the pan and take a light and a pry bar and look up at the cam gear and see if it has come apart. There is a bolt on the front of the cam that backs out and lets the gear get wobbly then they finally break. To fix it you have to pull the front cover off.

Still could be a water problem and or a flooding problem. Pull all the plugs and see if you can turn it over. If you can does it have gas and or water coming out of any of the cylinders?? If you can't turn it over put some oil in the cylinders and let it sit a day or 2 and then give it a try.
