I tried to post a reply using my name that I've used here in the past and it said my name was reserved and I couldn't use it. So I used something differant to ask this question. I looked around the site but couldn't figure out where to click . Thanks for your help.

Send me a big fat check, the deed to your farm, and the keys to a dozen or so tractors, and I'll get it setup for you, trust me. LOL.

When you reserve a name, a "cookie" is sent to your PC, if you have not visited here for a length of time, that cookie has been lost. Also, if you run the adaware or spybot programs on your pc, that cookie will again be deleted. Everytime I run those programs, and then post or reply to a message here, I get the same exact message that you recieved. All you need to do is enter the password that is associated with your reserved name, and that name will once again be yours.

Simply pick a "handle" that has not been reserved by someone else, and make up a "test" post, and post it. A box will come up telling you if you want to reserve that name to type a password. Pick a password, and enter it, and complete the post. This will password protect your new "handle".

You computer will remember the password, and you won't have to re-enter it until such time as you clear your "cookies". Then you will need to enter the password the next time you post.

Bob - you are right, however how do I go about replacing my password in cookies. I have the same problem as hhf. I asked Kim and she told me what my password was and it worked one time then no more. I had cleared my cookies and now have two or three problems where I can't get a site to work. I am using a different handle also. Thanks, Jack

I'm not sure what specific problem you're having. I post from 3 different locations, and if the cookies have been cleared on one of the machines, when I try to post, it will ask once for my password, and then remember it until someone clear the "cookies" on that machine.

Perhaps you have your browser set to very high security, where it blocks all "cookies"?

What browser are you using?

I am using Mozilla Firefox and I have to admit I am not too familiar with it, however I believe I was using IE when the problem first started. Think I need to call my ISP tech and see what is happening. Jack
