Oh No!

It appears that two of my ladies have been slippin' out after dark and headin' for the bright lights of town. I don't know how long this has been going on!

They were caught on camera frequenting the wrong side of the tracks and hangin' out with the wrong crowd (you know the ones; those blue-nosed kind).

I'm totally crushed and heartbroken over this. How can I ever hold my head up in public again? :>(

Aw, Guess I better fess up.

I just stumbled across this picture up on the 'net and thought it was unique to find these two tractors setting parked side by side on a dealer's lot somewhere.

They are identical to mine down to having the same exact engines, open stations, transmissions, hydraulics, etc. Paint is a little rough, tho. :>(

Mine are home and the good news is that they are already paid for (groan). :>)

I know just how to remedy the situation.....My John Deere dealer has a consignment sale coming up next month....You could probably palm those twpo off on some unsuspecting "Binderoid", and start replacing them with QUALITY JOHN DEERE FARM TRACTORS!

You gonna put a crop in this year? Also, have you found your planter yet. I MIGHT have a line on one. It won't be for sale until 1st of March, but it appears to be in good shape. Story is it'll sell cheap too!

An VERY cold John

Hi INDY. What is the planter you have a lead on? Lookin to get one here by spring, but do have an eye on a couple coming up on sales. Bought one last summer on an auction that was like new, but the iron buyer must have liked it too, because before I could get back to get it, he had it in little bitty pieces! Don

Allan is looking for an IH 6 row mounted cyclo planter, 400 series I believe. There's one in an estate sale I know of, coming up next month. Prblem is, he's WAY out west of here, in Nebraska....Might cost more to haul it than to buy it! John

Ya, he is some west of here yet. I'm looking for older then that even. Hope to get either a 494A, or 495 bought. Got it figured to plant my little acreage to beans this spring. Probably 40" rows, and then go back and split the rows making for 20" crop. Not the most econimical, but hey, its only 7 acres.

I have an early 90"s IH 900 4 row that only gets used every 6 or so years. The neighbor borrowed it last year to put in a corn maze, but I don"t use it. I am open to offers. It has well under 1000 acres under it.

I know where there's a nice 1240 Deere planter, with liquid fert. attachment, 30" rows, and stainless steel openers. It's in great shape. Owner bought a 6 row 7000 Deere, and is selling his old one for $400. I'll check into it, and see if it's still around. John

Maybe next year. Hahahaha, Harley

Between baling hay, mucking stalls, shopping for "western wear", and blocking his COWBOY hat, I don't see him having time to even reply to this post!

And those danged spurs'll sratch up the shiney paint on that 686....
