Wulff Man, I run a set of 18.4 X 34 Galaxys on my 966. Plus carring 750 lbs of cast on each rear corner. They have been on since summer of 97 They are tough and still look very good. It was my understanding that Galaxy makes a lot of Industrial/Earthmoving type tires when I got my set. So being tough was just understood.
I have been very pleased with them. Go ahead and put a full set on. Later,
John A.

I have an 11-24 Galaxy tire on the rear of my 49 JD M. I bought this tire new 5 years ago then blew the other rear 2 years ago, couldn't get another Galaxy for 2 weeks so I bought an 11-24 of another brand. this wasn't nearly as rugged as the galaxy tire and in 2 years it is weather checked already. The Galaxy still looks like the day I put it on. I'll likely order another Galaxy to replace the "new" tire. Oh and the new tire is always the one that slips first.

I work for a Case dealer in Calif., and we are Galaxy dealers. They are very sturdy built tires and near as I know they are made in Galaxy's two plants, at Hayward, Ca.,and at their Connecticut main plant. I just bought a set for one of my restored Cub Lowboys, and they look great. I got a GREAT price , your price may vary....

Made in USA.Probably any tire made here is of pretty good quality.Part of the cost of a Firestone etc.is advertising anyway.

Wulff:

I have 8 yr old Galaxy tri-rib on the front of my Farmall H (i purchased them new).
They were much cheaper than the other brands, and I have been VERY pleased with them--- they stand up to the test, so I think they"re a darn good tire!

My experience has been that they are good tires and priced right. No problems.

Yes, used to be Gans tire. They USED to sell a lot of surplus tires. They have a website, check it out. If I have my story correct they bought out a major manufacture molds and make the tires in South America. I've never run the stuff they make.

They use the BF Goodrich and General style molds. I used to sell a bunch until the foreign tire market intervened.
